Relaxation Sanctuary
The Ritz-Carlton Members Spa Club offers the cleansing, rejuvenating rituals of water in a tranquil Relaxation Sanctuary. Water calms the nervous system, enhances circulation and lymphatic drainage and nourishes and tones all the organs of the body. The Relazation Sanctuary features a Jacuzzi, dry sauna and steam bath to further enhance the "Spa Experience."
Rituals should be alternated with cooling showers to encourage circulation and accelerate natural cleansing. A restful period of 15 minutes allows the body to normalize temperature prior to Spa services.
- Detoxification: A short, hot session of no longer than five minutes in the dry sauna stimulates circulation and has a cleansing effect on the body.
- Sedation: A long, warm session of more than five minutes depresses circulation and relaxes the body .
- Therapeutic: Steam bath sessions, following the same guidelines as the dry sauna, create similar results using moist heat and inhalation therapy.
Relaxation Rituals
Take to the waters in a soothing river bath; a therapeutic hydrotherapy tub; or a reflex-zone, stimulating Vichy rain shower.
Ionic Cleanse Foot Bath - The ionic wellness technique of cleansing through the feet provides a full-body detoxifation of all vital organs. The body feels lighter and the mind is clearer, resulting in more energy and a greater sense of well being.
Ocean Infusion Bath - Relax and unwind in this revitalizing bath-oil blend with Honeysuckle and Lemon-Scented Tea Tree aromas to invoke a feeling of refreshing sea spray ion, which aid in the rebalancing of body, mind and soul. The blend contains grounding Western Australian Sandalwood essential oil, which soothes any skin irritations and relieves any itchiness or dryness.
Earth Infusion Bath - Bask in the benefits of the therapeutic and rejuvenating powers of natural Tasmanian Peat Mud and Essential Oils, an intense multivitamin, wellness-promoting and rejuventaing bath blend that assists in relaxing, detoxifying and toning. This bath experience, which combines high-pressure water jets and color therapy with exotic native clays, is excellent for muscular problems and fatigue.

Yanko Body Scrub - This liberating, full-body, wet-room exfoliation cleanses the spirit, revitalizes the energy meridians and brings tone and clarity to the skin. During this session, select native aromatic oils are rhythmically slathered over the body, invigorating the mind and soothing weary muscles. Next, skin-smoothing desert salts are buffed gently across the skin to refine texture and stimulate sluggish circulation. A relaxing and reviving massage performed by a constant stream of warm water washes away stresses.
Mother of Pearl Body Buff - This refreshing, full-body exfoliation therapy integrates the native aromatic oils of frangipani, Ylang Ylang and Australian sea salts to cleanse and purify, leaving skin smooth and soft. A holistic method of attaining beautiful skin is personalized to suit individual needs and desires of the skin. A facial massage can result in noticeable improvements to skin tone, texture and appearance and general soothing of the spirit.
Vibraderm - A non-invasive skincare device gently exfoliates the epidermis while stimulating the production of collagen. This treatment does not use harmful chemicals; instead, Vibraderm uses a variety of paddles to process the face, neck and décolleté. Common skin conditions that benefit include fine lines and wrinkles; age spots and dullness; poor texture and tone; acne scars; dryness and oily skin; and enlarged pores. A light peel may be added for an optimal enhancement.
